Nicole Kimmel is the Aquatic Invasive Species Specialist from Alberta Environment & Parks. Her presentation will give an overview of Alberta’s aquatic invasive species (AIS) program (Policy & Legislation, Education & Outreach, Monitoring, Inspections and Response) and how the program strives for prevention. Alberta’s AIS program was largely established for invasive mussel prevention, but with minimal further investment has expanded to other AIS threats for a broader program.
